While most types of tile can handle a lot of abuse they are not indestructible and hairline cracks may occur. Polished tiles are easy to clean and maintain. They are stain resistant water resistant and can withstand heavy foot traffic. Tiles provide a durable covering for floors walls and backsplashes.

Polished porcelain tiles have a bright shine and an elegant finish. There is a ceramic soap dish in the corner and even it is cracked. High gloss tile is a great choice to deliver affordable luxury. Use them in place of limestone or other soft honed stone tiles for style.

It can be swept and mopped with ease. Cracked tiles on floors and walls is a problem because it can be difficult to track down the source of the crack. The substrate is cementitious backerboard and as far as i can tell the tile was installed with thinset. They work well in as polished floor tiles in entryways or on shower walls where marble would stain.

Porcelain tile is a type of ceramic tile though it is made from finer denser clay and is fired at higher temperatures. In far more instances the crack was caused by anomalies under or around the tile. In many cases the crack is not the result of an inferior tile. There are hairline cracks running through the tiles on all three walls both vertical and horizontal.
